March Comp Day report
The club is off to a good start for this year, with another excellent day’s surfing at Neill St Dicky Beach. Huey was very kind on March 11.
The surfing standard was up a few notches – some nice walls and quick sections near the beach, tailor-made for the spectators.
The conditions held up just long enough to run Round 1 and Round 2, which is a real bonus. (There hasn’t been any decent surf at Neill St since)
The points tables have been updated and will be posted on the website soon.
A warm welcome to new members: John D (Open Men’s) – he didn’t waste anytime by winning his first heat, Jodie B (Open Women’s), Emily E and Sally W, who have joined the “let’s learn how to surf group”.
No negatives this comp, only positives.
But we seem to have lost a white competition singlet. Hopefully somebody has taken it home by mistake. If so, could you let me know.
Till next time, Sunday 22nd April.
John Marsh
