30^th Anniversary

2025 will see Club members, present and past, plus our valuable sponsors celebrate 30 years of wonderful surfing. Caloundra has a long history in the surfing world, back to the days of the famous Ma and Pa Bendall and a young Bob McTavish who used to make his way here after a week of working in Brisbane.

It took the revival of the longboard’s popularity to provide the catalyst for a group of dedicated locals to create the Caloundra Malibu Club in 1995. Now, 30 years later we can look back with pride on what’s gone before, as well as looking forward eagerly to (at least) the next 30 years. In the coming months, beginning in January, check back here for updates. Look forward to news, views and interviews all aimed at documenting our history. Of course, feel free to contribute ideas and insights.
